Happy Easter! Celebrate Jesus and Appreciate the Creative Arts Ministry!
Today, April 8, 2012 is one of the most holy and celebrated days on the religious calendar. Today, we thank GOD for sending Jesus to die for the sins of the world to save mankind from eternal death in hell. There are ministries around the world that have been preparing for this day for weeks and months. In some churches, this will be one of the largest attended services along with Christmas and Mother’s Day. Every effort has been made by ministry leadership to make sure that everyone on the team to make a collaborative effort for this Sunday to be successful. There have been additional meetings to coordinate every facet of ministry from the parking lot to the pulpit. There are countless members of the creative/sacred arts departments in these same ministries who have prepared themselves for this weekend to declare and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ! The creative/sacred arts leaders have spent hours in prayer about song selection. The liturgical dance leader spent hours choreographing the dance routine in response to the selected song. The drama coordinator has written and re-written scripts, designed props, pleaded for actors/actresses and begged for people who still sew to make costumes. There have been countless lively discussions over uniforms. There have been weeks of extra rehearsals in addition to the regular rehearsal schedule for weekly bible study, Sunday morning services and revival performances. If you participated in any way to help make the Easter celebration come to life, I give you a standing ovation and applaud you today. If you sat in the audience, watched and enjoyed the service of the creative arts department, please tell them how much you appreciate their service offered to God and to you. Whether you agree or not, say thank you. If you have a suggestion, offer it later in a loving manner. Frontline Worshippers always want to get better and improve but, today, let’s just celebrate Jesus and appreciate the members of the Creative Arts Departments around the world!
